FAQ
How to play Ballance?
The aim of the game is to build exciting ball towers that don't fall over and resist gravity. You can play it together with others or alone. As soon as you notice that the tower is about to fall over, turn the balls slightly to rebalance them. Try out combinations with small and large balls. This way you can always create new, exciting figures.
What age is Ballance recommended for?
Ballance is suitable for adults and children aged 6 and over.
Where can I try out Ballance?
You can currently try Ballance in several shops in Hamburg, Germany. We are seeking for more places and will publish an updated list here soon.
How to clean and care for the wood?
The beech wood has a natural, untreated surface, as we avoid using any varnishes or oils. To protect it from dirt and moisture, you can treat it with a little natural wood oil (e.g., linseed oil). Then wipe off any excess oil with a cloth and allow everything to dry thoroughly. Depending on the oil, the wood will become darker.
Tip - if the wood is too smooth / slippery
The surface of the wood will become somewhat smoother over time. Dip the balls briefly in clear water and then leave them to dry on a cloth. This makes the wood fibers stand up again and the surface becomes smoother. You can repeat this process at any time.
Information about the natural product wood
We use untreated, PEFC and FSC-certified beech wood from sustainable forestry in Austria. We avoid all varnishes and oils because the natural aesthetics of the wood are our priority. Since wood is a natural product, the surface and grain may vary slightly. Of course, we try to use only the most beautiful balls :-) However, if you discover a ball with imperfections, please feel free to contact us to replace it.
