Design & Sustainability

Responsible use of resources is particularly important to us - for ourselves and future generations. That's why BALLANCE relies on a completely sustainable product lifecycle: from FSC- and PEFC-certified beechwood from Austria, to artisanal production in our own workshop, to plastic-free packaging.

We use neither varnishes nor oils to ensure the wood has a natural and pollutant-free surface.

BALLANCE is robust and durable, making it easy to pass on from generation to generation. Our packaging is also designed for longevity: the sturdy cardboard tube (FSC) and the cotton bag (Oeko-Tex) are not only plastic-free, they can be reused in many ways.

  • 100% handmade
  • zero-waste packaging
  • FSC & PEFC certified wood
  • natural, pollutant-free material

Support local crafts

ecologically & fairly produced in Hamburg

100% handmade

Our products are carefully handcrafted in our Hamburg workshop - ecologically, fairly and with the highest quality standards. The wooden balls are pre-turned in a local master workshop in Pongau, Austria, and then finished here in Hamburg. There, they receive their final touches and are individually inspected for quality.
A special highlight: Each set includes a ball with a fine engraving. This small signature makes each game unique and gives BALLANCE a very special aesthetic.

We lovingly package all our games in natural FSC-certified cardboard tubes, which are not only sustainable but also durable and reusable. This consciously distinguishes us from industrially manufactured products - as well as from manufacturers who rely on cheap labor or unfair production conditions.
With BALLANCE, you choose genuine craftsmanship, fair production methods, and a game created with respect for people and nature.
