Who is behind MANUKAKiDS?

Hello, I'm Philipp, founder of MANUKAKiDS. When I'm not working on new ideas for wooden toys, I work as a product designer in Hamburg. I design furniture, everyday products and technical devices. My passion for wood, clean lines and intuitive play led to the idea of developing wooden toys that give children and adults plenty of room for their own ideas.

This is how MANUKAKiDS came about - a small toy brand from Hamburg, where material, design and the joy of free play are the focus.

Our vision

We are convinced that good toys don't have to be loud and complicated. It is precisely in their simplicity that they unfold their special power and invite conscious, free play. With a clear, geometric design language, we want to create games that are simple yet leave plenty of room for imagination and shared experiences.

For us, it's not just about the play itself, but also about the impact that a thoughtfully designed toy can have on well-being - it slows things down, connects people and inspires.

Our vision is to develop play ideas that bring generations together and find their place in different areas of life. Whether in families, daycare centers, or schools, in therapeutic settings, or in mindfulness workshops - our games offer moments of balance and tranquility while simultaneously fostering creativity, patience and concentration.

Material, design and production

At MANUKAKiDS, clear design, meticulous craftsmanship and select woods are paramount. Our games are made from beech, birch and walnut. Depending on the product, the wood surfaces are either left natural or receive a suitable finish. Production takes place in Germany in collaboration with inclusive workshops. We prioritize precise workmanship, smooth surfaces and a high-quality feel. Our games are CE marked and tested for their respective age groups according to applicable toy safety standards.

All MANUKAKiDS games are designed with the aim of allowing as much space as possible for free, creative and focused play - without a predetermined gameplay.

The journey continues

Our journey began in 2025 with the stacking game BALLANCE. To this day, it embodies a core idea of MANUKAKiDS: a simple game principle that combines concentration, dexterity and free experimentation. Since then, we have been developing further game ideas for children and adults - always striving to combine clear design with open-ended play possibilities.

The exchange with you – our MANUKAKiDS community – is especially important to us. Your thoughts, feedback and suggestions help us to improve and further develop our games.
